Description
A lovely iridescent purple glass vase, as pictured. From research, it appears to be made by the
Imperial Glass Company
of Bellaire, Ohio.
The exterior of the Vase depicts crisp, horizontal rings that start at the base and soften in definition near the top. It is meant to simulate the rings or ripples of a pebble hitting the surface of calm water. The interior of the vase has evenly spaced vertical ribbing, which adds a certain depth to the pleasing pattern.
The rim is stylized with six ruffles.
It's a lovely, iridescent purple color -- providing shades of green, blue, and
fuchsia depending on lighting and viewing angle. The piece has a 20-point star pattern on the bottom. Likely made in the early 1900s. It is not marked with a manufacturer / artists name.
