For your consideration, I am offering a beautiful, unsigned and impressive - large Carnival Glass pattern number 488 - "Poppy Show" VASES in the Iridescent Pastel Marigold made in the United States by the Imperial Glass Company ... circa 1914-1915..
THIS SALE IS FOR TWO EXQUISITE LARGE VASES!!!
A RARE FIND!!
Pastel orange (Marigold) color with a iridescent shine on a sunny day or under a light.. Both are quite a large vase, measuring about shy of 12 inches tall and with heavily sculpted, embossed Poppy flowers decorating the exterior of this large, rare Vase....The iridescence is quite gorgeous throughout the piece, inside and out, with vivid Rainbow Colors,
Originally part of the Imperial line, Imperial reproduced the pattern in several of their colors (Marigold, Purple and Smoke) and the reproduction pieces should be marked with the IG logo... Fenton reproduced the vase in a number of contemporary colors for Singleton Bailey, who marketed them to collectors....
Each large rare Vase measures 7.25 inches scalloped top diameter by 11 7/8 inches in height, Base measures 3.75 inches rim diameter...
Light signs of previous ownership should be expected consistent with age..... A clean example, free of chips, cracks, hairlines, possibly some slight signs of use from previous ownership - certainly does not take away from this exquisite Showcase piece of Carnival Glass..
