Vintage Imperial "Lustre Rose" Dark Marigold Footed Large Ruffled 11" Carnival Glass Bowl
Beautiful Imperial Glass Lustre Rose (Imperial Pattern # 489) (Hartung Book 1, page 63)
This piece is dark marigold in color; on the inside of the bowl there is a single large spray
of four large roses in high relief and six buds.
The interior background is stippled and ends with double zig-zag lines and
alternating stippled and smooth narrow panels radiating to the ruffled edge.
The exterior pattern features double drapery columns between
high relief rose sprays
and stippling that adds a magnificent sheen to the design.
Three scrolled feet at base just compliment the intricate exterior pattern.
This piece has many hues of colors due to the
intricacies
of the overall pattern.
Bowl measures 11" across at widest point and stands 5" tall at highest ruffle.
Heavy piece- weighs just over 3 lbs.
One micro mold mark on one ruffle dip- can't be seen without a
jewelers
loupe- I only noticed it by feel.
